Pengemasan Ikan Sidat

Pengemasan ikan sidat hasil budidaya dalam keadaan hidup dengan menggunakan kantong plastik sama seperti pengemasan pada udang atau jenis ikan lainnya. Pengemasan ini merupakan jenis pengemasan secara tertutup karena air sebagai media tidak kontak langsung dengan udara bebas. Sebagai ganti udara, oksigen langsung dimasukkan ke dalam air media yang berada di dalam plastik. Oksigen yang dibutuhkan berasal dari tabung oksigen yang disalurkan menggunakan selang. Pengemasan dengan cara seperti ini dapat dilakukan untuk transportasi jarak jauh dan dekat. Kantong plastik yang digunakan berukuran lebar 60 cm dengan panjang 100 cm.<br /><br />Kantong plastik yang telah diisi dengan ikan sidat selanjutnya dimasukkan ke dalam sterofoam. Sterofoam adalah kotak yang terbuat dari bahan sintesis, sangat ringan, mudah hancur tetapi tahan air. Terdapat beberapa ukuran sterofoam tetapi untuk pengemasan ikan sidat konsumsi digunakan yang berkuran panjang 75 cm, lebar 40 cm dan tinggi 30 cm. <br /><br />Cara pegemasan dengan kantong plastik yang dilakukan pada ikan sidat ukuran konsumsi dapat dipaparkan segai berikut :<br />1.Siapkan wadah untuk menampung ikan sidat ukuran konsumsi yang akan dilakukan pengemasan. Wadah yang digunakan bisa berupa bak fiber atau tong plastik. <br />2.Tuangkan air bersih ke dalam wadah tersebut sebanak ½ dari volume total <br />3.Masukan balok es yang telah dibungkus rapat dengan plastik hingga suhu air dalam wadah mencapai 12 oC. Penurunan suhu dilakukan untuk membius ikan sidat karena selama transportasi ikan sidat dikondisikan dalam keadaan tidak sadar. Pembiusan bertujuan untuk menurunkan aktivitas metabolisme ikan sidat selama transportasi sehingga kondisi air media bisa terjaga dalam keadaan baik.<br />4.Isi kantong plastik dengan air bersih hingga 1/3 bagainnnya. Air yang dimasukkan ke dalam plastik mengikuti suhu air dalam wadah penampungan ikan sidat yaitu sekitar 12oC.<br />5.Masukkan ikan sidat yang akan di kemas.<br />6.Buang udara dalam kantong plastik lalu masukkan oksigen dari tabung yang disalurkan melalui selang kecil hingga diperkirakan sampai 2/3 volume kantung plastik.<br />7.Ikat 1/3 dengan karet gelang hingga rapat pada bagian atas kantung plastik yang tidak berisi udara.<br />8.Apabila dirasakan suhu lingkungan sangat tinggi atau jarak pengiriman sangat jauh, bisa ditambahkan balok es yang telah dibungkus plastik atau kertas koran. Penambahan balok es ini bertujan untuk menjaga suhu di dalam sterofoam selama transportasi.<br />9.Masukkan kantong plastik tersebut ke dalam sterofoam tutup rapat. Untuk lebih merapatkan rekatkan selotip (lebar 10cm) pada bagian pingir hingga melingkar dari mulai bagian awah hingga atas. Pakan Pembesaran Ikan Sidat

Pakan yang diberikan pada tahap pembesaran berupa pakan buatan berbentuk pellet dangan diameter 0,5 cm. Dosis pemberian pakan sebanyak 1 – 2 % dari berat biomassa. Pemberian pakan dilakukan 2 kali dalam satu hari yaitu pada pagi (06.00-07.00) dan malam (23.00-24.00) dengan prosentasi pemberian pakan untuk pada sore hari lebih tinggi dari pada pagi hari (40 : 60). Hal ini dikarenakan pada saat sore sampai malam hari kandungan oksigen terlarut masih tinggi sehingga benih ikan sidat lebih aktif bergerak terutama untuk aktivitas makan. <br /><br />Pergantian air selama masa pemliharaan bisa mencapai 20 – 30 % untuk menjaga kadar oksigen terlarut pada kisaran 20 ppm dan membuang kotoran yang terlarut di dalam air. Kotoran yang ada di dalam tambak berasal dari sisa pakan, feses benih ikan sidat, dan kotoran lain yang datang dari air media.<br /><br />Tahap pembesaran dilakukan sampai fingerling berubah menjadi ikan sidat ukuran konsumsi dengan berat minimal 200 gr/ekor. Pemanenan ikan sidat ukuran konsumsi dilakukan pada sore hari agar menghindari stress akibat tingginya suhu pemeliharaan. Pemanenan dilakuan dengan menggunakan waring anco dengan dimensi waring 1,5 x 1,5 m2. Anco diturunkan sampai ke dalam tambak lalu taburkan pakan pellet pada bagian atas waring anco. Biarkan beberapa saat hingga ikan sidat yang akan kita panen berkumpul di daerah pemberian pakan. Apabila ikan sidat sudah berkumpul dalam jumlah banyak lalu tarik waring anco tersebut hingga mencapai permuakan air tambak kemudian arahkan ke pematang tambak. Pada pematang tambak telah disediakan drum sebagai wadah ikan sidat yang telah dipanen tadi. Segera lakukan kegiatan pengemasan apabila ikan sidat telah masuk kedalam drum. <br /><br />Tahap terakhir dari proses kegaitan budidaya adalah penanganan pasca panen. Dengan penanganan pasca panen yang benar diharapkan nilai jual dari produk budidaya tersebut tidak akan turun karena penanganan panen dan transportasi yang kurang baik. Ikan sidat mempunyai nilai jual tinggi pada saat diperdagangkan dalam kondisi hidup dan segar (tidak luka). Ikan Sidat Ukuran Konsumsi

Tahapan pembesaran bertujuan untuk memperoleh ikan sidat ukuran konsumsi dengan ukuran > 200 gr/ekor yang dipelihara dan merupakan tahap akhir dari semua kegiatan budidaya ikan sidat. Benih ikan sidat yang digunakan berasal dari hasil tahap pendederan II yang berukuran berat 10 gr/ekor (fingerling).<br /><br />Proses pemindahan benih ikan sidat dari bak penderan II ke dalam tambak pembesaran dilakukan dengan hati-hati dan cepat untuk menghindari stress selama proses pemindahan berlangsung. Disarankan untuk melakukan pemindahan pada pagi atau sore hari dimana suhu lingkungan tidak terlalu tinggi. Benih ikan sidat ditebar dengan kepadatan 4 ekor/m2. <br /><br />Tempat pemeliharaan yang digunakan adalah tambak dengan dimensi 100 x 40 x 3 m3 dengan tinggi air media yang digunakan hanya 1,5 m.dari dasar tambak. Tambak pemeliharaan dilengkapi dengan 2 unit kincir air pedal hole. Air media pemeliharaan berasal dari tandon air yang dialirkan saluran inlet ke dalam tambak pemeliharaan. Volume pergantiian air sebanyak 20 – 30 % yang dilakukan satu kali dengan interval waktu 3 hari. <br /><br />Sebelum digunakan, tambak terlebih dahulu dipersiapkan agar ikan sidat dapat tumbuh maksimal. Persiapan yang dilakukan adalah sebagai berikut :<br />•Pengangkatan lumpur sedalam 5 cm. <br />Pengangkatan tanah ini dilakukan untuk menghilangkan gas-gas beracun pada lahan yang potensial keasamannya rendah.<br />•Perbaikan tanggul. <br />Perbaikan tanggul meliputi pengerasan dasar dan bagian miring tambak supaya mempersulit sidat untuk membuat liang. Pada habitat aslinya, sidat membuat lubang untuk tempat hidupnya agar terlindung dari predator.<br />•Pembuatan sarana biosecurity. <br />Untuk menjaga sanitasi dan meghindari hama dan penyakit masuk ke dalam kolam (tambak) maka diperlukan sarana biosecurity. <br />•Pengisian air tawar.<br />Air media yang digunakan harus terhindar dari polutan berupa pestisida atau bahan berbahaya lainnya. Pemasangan kincir air dilakukan sebelum pengisian air media dilakukan untuk mempermudah pemasangan kincir tersebut. Perlu Waktu untuk Beradaptasi

Setelah elver ditebar ke dalam bak pemeliharaan, elver memerlukan waktu untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru dan pengenalan pakan buatan. Dalam masa adaptasi elver masih mengalami stress yang berakibat pada penurunan nasfu makan sehingga pada hari-hari awal pemeliharan pemberian pakan tidak perlu dipaksakan. Pemberian pakan dilakukan secara adlibitum atau sampai elver tidak memakan pakan yang diberikan.<br /><br />Pakan yang diberikan pada tahap pendederan II berupa pakan pellet kemudian dibuat menjadi pasta. Dosis pemberian pakan sebanyak 5 – 10 % dari berat biomass. Pemberian pakan dilakukan 2 kali dalam satu hari yaitu pada pagi (06.00-07.00) dan malam (23.00-24.00). Elver sangat aktif makan pada saat sore sampai malam hari maka prosentasi pemberian pakan untuk pada sore hari lebih tinggi dari pada pagi hari (40 : 60). Hal ini dikarenakan pada saat sore sampai malam hari kandungan oksigen terlarut masih tinggi sehingga elver lebih aktif bergerak terutama untuk aktivitas makan. <br /><br />Pergantian air selama masa pemeliharaan bisa mencapai 300% untuk menjaga kadar oksigen terlarut pada kisaran 20 ppm dan membuang kotoran yang terlarut di dalam air. Kotoran yang ada di dalam bak berasal dari sisa pakan, feses elver, dan kotoran lain yang datang dari air media. Untuk kotoran yang mengapung dapat diambil dengan menggunakan serok, kotoran yang terlarut dapat keluar melalui pergantian air dan kotoran yang mengendap dapat dikeluarkan dengan cara penyiphonan Penyiphonan dilakukan maksimal 10 hari sekali agar menghindari penimbunan amoniak yang berlebihan. <br /><br />Tahap pendederan II dilakukan sampai elver berubah menjadi benih ikan sidat yang mempunyai bentuk dan warna yang sama. Benih ikan sidat mempunyai warna dan bentuk yang sama dengan dewasa dengan panjang tubuh sudah mencapai 10-12 cm. Tahap pendederan II memakan waktu selama 1,5 bulan dan menghasilkan benih ikan sidat dengan berat 10 gram dengan sintasan 80 %. <br /><br />Pemanenan benih ikan sidat dilakukan pada sore hari agar menghindari stress akibat tingginya suhu pemeliharaan. Saat pemanenan air media pemeliharaan diturunkan hingga mencapai ketinggian antara 10-15 cm dari dasar bak. Apabila tinggi air sudah mencapai 10-15 cm segera pindahkan benih ikan sidat ke dalam wadah plastik dengan menggunakan serok. Penyerokan harus dilakukan dengan hati-hati agar tidak melukai benih ikan sidat. Wadah plastik terlebih dahulu diisi air dengan volume ¾ dari volume total wadah lalu benih ikan sidat dapat ditempatkan ke dalam wadah. Apabila wadah plastik terisi lebih dari 100 ekor segera pindahkan ke dalam drum. <br /><br />Penggunaan drum ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah proses pemindahan benih ikan sidat dari bak pendederan II ke dalam tambak karena jarak antara kedua tempat tersebut sekitar 1 km. Drum yang digunakan berupa drum besi silinder dengan kapasitas 200 liter. Selain drum besi wadah yang dapat digunakan bisa menggunakan drum dengan bahan dasar plastik. Sebelum digunakan drum harus dibersihkan dengan sabun lalu bilas sampai bersih. Pada bagian tengah drum dilubangi agar udara bisa masuk ke dalam drum sehingga memperbesar ventilasi selama saat transportasi berlangsung. (MJ-Sidatmania).
